At Kārļamuiža, we will welcome Brigita Puriņa, an expert in historical cuisine, and Līga Eglīte, the cuisinier from Cēsis Castle Manor. These talented ladies will share cherished old-world recipes and the culinary wisdom of generations past, while historian and manor host Jānis Stepiņš will bring the rich history of Kārļamuiža to life with his storytelling.

On the menu:

Clear soup with grilled bread, based on a recipe from 1796
Quail Scotch eggs in the style of James Pearson
Game and pistachio terrine
Herring roulade wrapped in beetroot
Classic "Olivier" salad, prepared from an 1877 recipe
Mixed pickles, inspired by Countess Elizabete von Sievers

For dessert:
Jams from the manor’s pantry
Count Alexander von Sievers' apple pastilles with honey

Trail Length: Approximately 10 km Route: Karļamuiža - Landscape Krauja - Stūķu Rock - Karļamuiža 10:00 - 11:00: Registration and breakfast at Karļamuiža 11:00: Brief introduction to Nordic walking, warm-up, and start of the hike. ~16:00 - 17:00: Meal at Karļamuiža (soup of the day) Participation Fee: €10 Price Includes: breakfast, soup of the day, drinks, instructor service, route sheet.
