Karlamuiza Country Hotel

Hidden in Noble Silence

Since the 18th century, Karlamuiza (a.k.a Karlu muiza and Gut Karlsruh) has attracted locals and guests from afar and it’s history is long and rich. Propelled by the respect for our predecessors' accomplishments and entrepreneurship, we are continuing the hotel’s Karlumuiza traditions in the former manor’s servants building. It was built in the middle of the 19th century, it nearly collapsed during Soviet times and was fully renovated in 2006.

We have owned and operated the hotel for more than 20 years. But every day, we are genuinely excited about the guests who find and visit us. For some of our guests, this is the first time, but for the others - one of many. We think of you – our guests - as our friends – people who are like us, who fully enjoy their visits and always return.

Today, Karlamuiza is ideal place for people, who seek peace and cherish being surrounded by nature.  They will appreciate our ancient apple orchard with hammocks, quiet places to read or short walks around the manor’s park. But we are also perfect place for adventurers, who want to spend their days riding their mountain bikes, hiking, canoeing in summer and skiing in winter.

Karlamuiza is ideal for guests seeking solitude, a group of friends, and a family with children, who will enjoy activities in the surrounding Gaujas National Park.

Please come and see us,
